Hippie Death Cult Norfolk Concert reviews
What's not to like?
"Hippie Death Cult, a legend living. Saw him live at Woodstock. Inspiring and cool he is. Band still kicks it, with a real full sound. Set list has a good mix of songs for everyone, though it seemed a little short. Maybe the outdoor amphi-theater's heat/humidity affected it. During the concert, I compared our evening's list with prior concerts on my smartphone.
If you've never seen Hippie Death Cult live, you'd be lucky to see him now.
Interaction with the audience was minimal, which is probably good. First interaction was a sermon on 'oneness'. Thought we'd get a religious sermon, but it was brief. After a few more tunes, another short dialog. Peace and love, thanks for reminding us.
Great video backdrop images, especially at the end of the show with video clips mostly in chronological order of prior performances and album covers. Nice touch.
Arrived late and missed most of Winwood. Parking lot organization not the best plan, somewhat to blame for that."
